Here are a variety of different therapy resources that you can use if you are having a difficult time. Some of the resources may require that you belong to a certain group or have gone through a certain hardship.

BETTER HELP:

BORIS LAWRENCE HENSON FOUNDATION:

The BLHF is offering five free therapy sessions to anyone who has experienced life-altering events due to the COVID-19 pandemic. To sign up for five free sessions, visit their website

NATIONAL QUEER AND TRANS THERAPISTS OF COLOR NETWORK:

The National Queer and Trans Therapists of Color Network will work to help provide financial assistance to queer and trans people of color to cover therapy costs through their Mental Health Fund. To find a therapist, visit their website.

Nyasha Chikowore, Capital Center for Psychotherapy & Wellness:

Nyasha is a doctoral extern providing a support group for black people on Zoom every Thursday from 6 pm – 7:30 pm EST for the duration of the summer. If you are interested in the group, send an email to nyasha@capitalpsychotherapy.com.

OPEN PATH:

Open Path offers low-cost therapy to anyone with demonstrated financial need with a lifetime membership of just $59.
